Wakazashi Taiwan excl. Tsuba

The Wakazashi traditionally was worn by the Samurai in combination with the Katana. Wearing two swords was called Daisho, what literally means long and short. The shorter sword, with a length between 30 and 60cm. was mainly used for defence and to get your opponent out of balance

Currently Wakazashis are trill being used in all Japanese sword sports. For training purpose we can offer wooden Wakazashis . They are available in three standard qualities: Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese wood.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON THE WAKAZASHI

• the total length of the Wakazashi is 55cm
• the length of the blade is 41 cm and the length of the handle is 14 cm.
• the Wakazashi will be delivered excluding a tsuba.
