Ronin Mouth Guard Senior - various colors
If you go sparring, we would always advise to wear a mouthguard. This does not only protect your teeth, but more importantly it protects the jaw.
If you see a blow coming, you unconsiously brace yourself and this includes clenching your jaw. If you are wearing a mouthguard, you will bite into your mouthguard and the pressure and tension will be distributed evenly over the jaw to reduce chances of breaking.
The mouthguard comes in a hygienic little storage box together with a yellow leaflet with instructions on how to get the mouthguard into shape by using hot water.
Our senior mouthguard is suitable for everyone of 12 years and older. For kids we offer a junior mouthguard.
Colours
The mouthguard is available in the colours black, blue, red, transparent and yellow.
How to use
Attention: Always be careful with boiling or hot water.
- Boil some water in a pan or the water boiler and have a bowl with some cold water at the ready.
- When the water is boiling, pour it into a seperate heat-resistant bowl. Take the mouthguard and drop it carefully in the bowl with hot water.
- Leave the mouthguard in the hot water for 30 seconds, then take it out carefully with a fork or spoon and place it carefully in your mouth. The guard should be warm, but not hot
- Gently press the mouthguard against your teeth from the out- and inside of your mouth. Nibble slightly on it, to give pressure from the bottom as well, and make sure to suck hard, to make sure there is no air left between your teeth and the mouthguard. Do not bite down too hard, or you can bite through the material when it is soft. When you go through it cannot be reshaped.
- When the guard is molded to your satisfaction, place it in the bowl with cold water and leave it in for a minute or two to let it harden.
If you are not happy with the fit, the mouthguard can sometimes be molded again, but after 2 or 3 tries it usually is not fit to re-mold again.
A small tip: take a toothbrush with some toothpaste and brush the mouthguard regularly to keep it fresh(tasting).
Please note that mouthguards are hygiene products. This means that we are unable to take back sealed items that have been openend.
