How to choose the right size

With the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Gi's the sizes are named a bit different than other gi's. With the more traditional suits or kimono's the sizes are for example between 160 - 200 and these indicate the length of the suit or the person. With the BJJ Gi's however the sizes are between F1 - F4, but what does this mean?
