Aikido Set Complete - Pro Shugyo
Because Aikido utilizes multiple practice weapons, we have assembled this beautiful set for the Aikido practitioner. The set includes a Tanto, a Bokken, and a Jo, all made from fine Chinese white oak wood, as well as a nice weapon bag to carry everything.
The Chinese white oak wood is of higher quality than Taiwanese wood, but somewhat inferior to authentic Japanese white oak. As a result, it is suitable for performing movements and for some wood-on-wood contact during training, but it may wear out over time. For actual sparring, we still recommend the Japanese set.
The weapon bag is designed specifically to carry these practice weapons, made from nylon with a special compartment for the tanto. The Tanto is a wooden practice knife approximately 29 cm long. The Bokken is the wooden sword, approximately 102 cm long. And the Jo is a wooden staff, approximately 128 cm long. Please keep in mind that these are natural products, so each item is unique in terms of density, weight, and color. Of course, you are also welcome to come and view this set in the store to personally choose which weapons feel best in your hand!
