The American Brand Shock Doctor is the #1 in mouthguard technology: The undisputed leader in the branch. In 1992 they received their first patent and today they have revolutionized the market. All of their mouthguards use both a 3-layer technology and a customized gel that they’ve developed, to make sure that the mouthguard can be shaped to fit you.

Besides the mouthguard, Shock Doctor has recently been making progress towards other protection materials such as the groin guards that we offer in our selection.

Shock Doctor protection

As with the mouthguards, Shock Doctor has developed their own technology for the groin guards: an ultra carbon cup with X-FIT system.

The carbon cup has a dual layer protection, which allows for a maximum airflow and also combats bacteria and odor. The design follows the body, to ensure the best protection with the freedom of movement you require when training.

The groin guard also features a gel pad to reduce friction against the skin.

The Shock Doctor mouthguard is what it’s all about. In combat sports there is a very important rule: your gear cannot limit your training. That’s why Shock Doctor has featured the mouthguard with the 3-layer technology, the gel that molds to fit your teeth perfectly and the lighter weight. This all ensures the best possible protection. The rubber shock frame with added jaw-protection will process and reduce the impact.

How do I custom-fit the Gel Max mouthguard?

The major advantage of the Shock Doctor mouthguard is that it can be fitted to your own teeth. Put the mouthguard in hot water for 90 seconds, then drop it in room temperature water for a few seconds to let it cool off a little bit. Because of the hot water, the gel will be warmed up and softened, which allows you to shape it exactly to your mouth and teeth.

Take the mouthguard in your mouth and apply a firm pressure all around with your fingers and tongue.Then bite down gently on the mouthguard with your molars first and then bring the pressure toward the teeth at the front.
