Everlast
In 1910, the Everlast brand was founded in the Bronx, as a manufacturer of swimwear. Seventeen-year-old Jacob Colomb, son of a tailor, develops his own swimsuit because he is dissatisfied with the swimsuits of the moment that don't even last a season. He proudly calls his swimwear line "Everlast" and while his swimwear didn't “last forever”, the name certainly does.
In the years that follow, Colomb has grown into a small retail store that offers a full line of sportswear. In 1917, Jack Dempsey introduces boxing to Everlast and Colomb. Dempsey asks Colomb if he can make head guards that last longer than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. Golomb developed training equipment especially for Dempsey and in 1919 he won the world's heavyweight championship with it. Everlast has become a phenomenon and is still very well known in the boxing world.
Fast forward to 2007: Everlast is sold in over 100 countries.
